Sunshine...

came softly through my window today.

I know there may be winter ahead but
I caught these rays today and it
seemed a shame to waste them.

Shall we pretend it's nearly spring?

The bunnies are keeping their balaclavas on

but the ducks are ready to roll.

I love playing with fuzzy felt

and I was getting bored of knitting socks...

but I did use up all my woolly scraps

and finished a jumper.

Only one more week of injury time and then
I expect I'll be glued to this for another two months...

but we can always pretend.

Bone Idle?

No, not me ... just my naughty femur.

I'm half way through my hip healing process
so can I show you some incapacity benefits?

I found a simple 2 needle knitting pattern remedy for happy feet
and a regular dose of patient patchwork eases the restless wriggle.

If your feeling prickly, try a quick burst on a pom pom maker...

but no more than four times a day as it can be addictive.

I'm so glad that I can craft and calcify simultaneously
but there are a couple of down sides...

Toblerone? a Hero? I don't think so!
Be gone, you 'Krafty' intruder...

and my rhyming disorder has flared up again
so I hope you'll excuse a little verse relief...

My Wish Bone

Oh little bone that works my leg,
I wish you'd help me out of bed.
I want to run and dance and skip,
I'm fed up with a broken hip.
So when your photo shoot is due,
Please smile and say 'I'm good as new!'

Oh, Flip...

There's been a blip,
I took a trip,
And broke my hip!

I'm all screwed back together now so
I'm (carefully) putting on my positive pants and shouting

"CHOCOLATE CONTAINS CALCIUM, HURRAH"

I took a cup of kindness and loads of new toys from the NHS
so thank you so much Queen Alexander.

Can you see my cup of kindness in the photo?

Normal service will be resumed soon but in the mean time
I would like to wish all my bloggy chums...

HIPPY NEW YEAR!

In 2014 I'm looking forward to learning some new
Womble skills, ie making good use of the things that I find

and using my thinking cap a bit more often.

What are you looking forward to?

Excess Wrapping?

Wreath supplied by The Custards...thanks Jenny.

Christmas is coming,
Goose is tired of tat.
Poor old Santa,
Needs a new hat.

Christmas is coming,
Mistletoe and wine.
Flipping fairy,
Stay on that  pine.

Christmas is coming,
Carol sings a tune.
Pile up the nuts,
New slippers soon.

Christmas commences,
Turkey please melt.
Too much stuffing,
Loosen that belt.

Christmas is swinging,
Steady on the booze.
Party crackers,
Time for a snooze.

Christmas is over,
We got lots of gear.
Excess wrapping?
Use it next year.

Christmas is coughing,
Goose is in bed.
Slipped on land fill,
I think he's d........ noooooooo!

Try again...

Christmas is coughing,
Goose is in bed.
Time for a break,
Let's cruise the Med!

That's better.

Away in a manger...

... no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus tried Chichester instead...

The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay
and we all had a great Christmas Market, hurrah!

Crafty ways makes fun and laughter.

PS: To the lady that bought the stacking Noddy,
please come back for his tummy.

Deerest...

...is it just me...

or can you feel a giraffe?

No, it was just your imagination.

We are all getting rather excited about our
3 day marathon market tomorrow
and some of us are over excited.

but I'm really looking forward to Sunday
with tidings of comfort and joy...
