Old Mrs Elderly

Old Mrs Elderly
Wanted to stay.
I wasn't quite ready,
I didn't want to play.

Old Mrs Elderly
Made such a fuss.
So I told her to leave,
I hope she caught the bus.

Dear Mrs Elderly
Took a shine to me.
I think she might come back
So I've hidden her key.

Crafty ways keep you going.

Springtime...that's an order!

They said it started last Thursday.

Our little bandwagon will be appearing at the Arundel garden fete next Saturday.

It will be outside, under the sky and in the fresh air...
so it must be spring?

I have been messing about with some spring ingredients...

a handful of spring lambs,

some toadstools ...

and a few eggs.

How do you like your eggs?

Hard?

Soft?

or Barbied?

with soldiers?

or maybe hatched?

I have a few empty cups waiting ...

but I guess it's too early for chocolate?

so it's spring then?

Perhaps I'll feel more bouncy once the clocks go forward

or perhaps I just need a little holiday
 and some chocolate?

Sending spring wishes...

and some dotty love.

Crafty days make wishful days.

The Really Wild Flower Show

Here's an easy make...perhaps for Mothers Day or Easter?

I crossed a Kanzashi flower with a Suffolk Puff
and grew a happy hybrid.

Once the seed was sewn I couldn't stop.

My haberdashery was turning horticultural.

Nothing was safe...

I even pruned a shirt or two...

 some vintage curtains...

and an old skirt.

These two were cross polinated...

My scrappy grow bags are still growing...

but at least I now have some produce.

What do you do with your scraps?

Crafty ways make flowers grow.

The Impatient Patcher

She cut the folded cloth

and patched with knotted thread.

She dreamed a giant quilt

but cushion grew instead.

And so she tried again,

her fingers growing numb.

A cover for her bed...

or a seat for her bum ?

Crafty ways make impatient days.
