Slow down...

...you move too fast,

you got to make the morning last.

Just kicking down the cobble stones...

looking for fun and feeling groovy.

I'm peddling like mad on my unicycle with only 2 weeks to market....
and 4 Saturdays until Christmas...

Life, I love you, all is groovy.

Where are the brakes?

Crafty ways make groovy days.

I Like Big Bows

I like big bows,
They neatly pose
With lovely wings
On crafty things.

I like the way
They stop the fray
With jolly ends
And pretty bends.

Do you like bows?
I don't suppose
You'd like to wear
One in your hair?

I have some spare
So would you dare?
They might all stare
But I don't care.

I like big bows,
In pairs or rows,
I like them loads,
I hope it shows.

She likes bows too...

and buttons...but that's another story.

Crafty ways make me smile.

It started with a kiss...

never thought it would come to this...

My deer family in onesies!

I was going to tell you all about our market last week
and warn you that it's getting busy out there
but... it's far nicer when a happy customer does it all for you...

The festive feeling is beginning to flow

so I am trying to get stuff organised

for our 3 day spectacular next month.

It's a bit wobbly but Christmas is definitely sprouting...

I felt it ...

sew...

don't panic...

my deers...

but the goose is getting fat...

When I think that I'm alone...

...it seems there's more of us at home.

It's a multitude of angels...

...and they're playing with my heart.

Must be talking to an angel

Must be talking to an angel

Must be talking to an angel.

Only 47 days to go.

Crafty ways make me excited.

Maybe I'm amazed...

by the freedom of cross stitch?

It's free to quack...

fly...

drive...

respond to wind...

look cute...

build...

decorate...

grow...

protect...

advise...

and strut.

Maybe I'm amazed by the cross stitcher?

These stitches were sewn by...

( here comes the amazing bit )

...a cockney geezer who wore 'cor blimey' trousers
and lived in a council flat.

Good work, Man Chum.

This is my favourite...

I wish you could see how tiny it is.

but the tea set's tiny as well,

now the peg's huge.

and so is Man Chum.

His crafty ways had me in stitches.

I blame the 'cor blimey' trousers.

Oh, it's such a perfect day...

I'm glad I spent it with you.

Just a perfect day, you made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else, someone good.
( Lou Reed 1942 - 2013 )

Eco Ethel was born a year ago... I have a secret to reveal.
My name is not really Ethel but once I tie my pinny and wiggle my nose
(like Samantha in 'Bewitched') I become her.

I worked out that a couple of hours a day blogging is
one sixth of my life so I am one sixth Ethel.

I hope you will forgive the deception as she's much more fun than me.

Now, I must get back on my horse...

and bite the bit.

I must whip up a storm before I'm snowed under...

...as we have another market soon and then a 3 day spectacular,
what was I thinking???

I have tins to clean, boats to row...

wood to glue...

and caravans to renovate.

The girls are happy now...

they're plotting a wild weekend away.

 I need to...

and

because...

or snow...

but what ever the weather...

...blog buddies.

Thank you for a whole year of support, encouragement and silliness.

Happy first birthday, Ethel...but remember your body is 59 now.
